Repair Work (minor miracles and fancy footwork)

Repair work is so gratifying! Often times, the client that comes to you to help her through a disaterous lash situation, ends up being a great client for life!

Here is a small slideshow of a repair job - where the natural lashes were lopped off in a crimp curler mishap.

Thin (.15 lashes) were used to extend the stubs, and some fancy footwork in the remaining lash application was used to finish up. Thankfully, her natural lashes regenerated nicely, and over the course of follow-up visits, she ended up with healthy natural lashes very quickly.

Thanks for visiting!
Our next entry will be some real fancy footwork indeed: crystals and metallics, shimmers and bling!

Extending lashes, and best wishes,
jp

Good photos. Is .15 really considered "thin"? I have been using .15 for all my clients with .10x8 for the inner corners. Should I move up to .20? .25? Can't wait to see the crystals and glimmer! Thanks.

Hi Melisa. No doubt in the last year, you have experimented with different degrees of thickness and curl. Just because I am comparitively referring to the .15s as 'thin' does not mean they are too thin for your clients. Personally, I find myself using the faux mink .20s and .15s in 10mm-13mm the most. Those are the lashes that I reach for day in; day out. What are you finding yourself using now? (as opposed to when you first wrote this comment in Oct 2008 - boy am I sloooow - ha ha ha) Jill

P.S. I have some excellent new shots of glimmer/metallic lashes and a new technique that is so simple, it'll knock you over! Coming soon!

Hi Preeti, I don't have any idea why you would have trouble, but I will try to find out. Thats the best I can do, I'm afraid. So sorry. Jill
